US To Legalise Online Gambling?
April 12th, 2010 by admin
Are we getting close to seeing legal online gambling in the US? Analysts predict we could see legalised online gambling in America amazingly with the next 12 months. Support for the anti UEIGA seems to be growing at a rapid pace. The Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act (UIGEA) has already been postponed from December 1st 2009 until June 2009. Better news still is that Barney Frank has already published a paper that details how online gambling can be legalised and regulated in the US. Harrahs the world renowned casino chain seem to be already positioning themselves ready for the return. They have already set up their own European poker site in cooperation with the UK company 888.com and late last month launch Caesars Bingo and Caesars Casino. Many feel that Harrahs are simply getting ready the Anti UEIGA Bill and with their European sites will be in prime position to capitalise on the return of Americans to the online gambling world.
When and if the Anti UEIGA Bill is passed expect to see a massive shake up amongst the current online gambling market leaders. Companies that have continued to allow US players at their sites in theory should find it very difficult to be accepted by the US bill. If we take the online bingo sector as an example sites that have blocked US players such as Bet365 Bingo, Party Bingo, Jackpotjoy, and of course Harrahs own Caesars Bingo will be in great shape to exploit the new player base.
It’s early days yet but perhaps for the first time we can really dream about Americans returning to the world of online gambling.
